Nigel Campbell is a music businessman focused on expanding the appeal of Island Music globally via new media, live performance and distribution. He is a director of Production One Ltd, the company that produces Jazz Artists on the Greens ™, the largest Caribbean Jazz event in Trinidad, and other live music events for which he has served as an A&R director. He has worked with and been advisor to other local and regional festivals towards developing the live music sector as a tourism product. He produces, and co-hosts with journalist Laura Dowrich-Phillips the top-rated podcast Music Matters: The Caribbean Edition™, which features music business conversations, interviews and analysis focused on all the music in the islands. His research interests are the music business in small economies, and the development of markets for Caribbean music internationally. His writing has been featured in regional and international print media, digital platforms and journals.
