Stakeholders of the CreativeFront T&T Impact and Innovation Programme

The CreativeFront T&T: Innovation & Impact Programme for Creative Entrepreneurs was officially launched on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business. The programme is designed to support the growth and resilience of creative micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Trinidad and Tobago.

CreativeFront T&T is an initiative of the Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI), funded by IDB and the Compete Caribbean Partnership Facility, and implemented by DianJen.

Building capacity across key creative sectors

The programme targets MSMEs operating in:

  • Music
  • Film and television
  • Fashion and design
  • Carnival bands and events
  • Gaming and animation

Selected firms will participate in a five-part workshop series followed by one-on-one technical assistance. The workshops focus on strategic planning, branding and export readiness, intellectual property and compliance, digital tools, and financial management. Tailored mentorship and business support will help participating firms implement practical roadmaps for growth.

Partner perspectives

At the launch, Farley J. Joseph, Project Lead for CreativeFront T&T and Founder & CEO of DianJen, noted that the programme builds on years of work in creative entrepreneurship training and research, and provides a structured way to support creative MSMEs as they formalise, innovate, and pursue new markets.

Representatives of CARIRI, IDB and the Ministry of Culture and Community Development outlined the programme’s role within wider efforts to improve competitiveness, business resilience and market access for local creative enterprises.
